The island of Elba, approximately 10 km away from the mainland, is part of the Tuscan archipelago consisting of seven islands, the most known being Elba, Giglio and Montecristo. Most of them can be easily reached by boat and are appreciated for their untouched nature and relaxing ambience.

The Palio di Siena, probably the most spectacular horse race in the world, is definitely worth seeing, but also the cities of Florence with its precious art heritage or the leaning tower of Pisa should not be missed.

There are still many small towns from the Middle Age where you can relax at the main square, the so-called Piazza, enjoying the exquisite Tuscan cuisine and the famous local red wine of this region before you take a quiet walk along the soft hills with their pine trees, admiring the unique and untouched nature that can still be found here.

If you like to hike, be sure to visit the Maremma National Park with its many kilometers of paths leading through still intact woods and hills.
