FLS Marymount College recently celebrated its 75th anniversary of providing outstanding educational opportunities for students. This small, liberal arts college provides a caring person-centered educational experience rooted in a Catholic heritage. Marymount has an excellent record of transferring students to dozens of prestigious colleges and universities including UC Berkeley, Cornell, Brown, UCLA, USC, Pepperdine and Johns Hopkins.
Facilities
- Beachside Bistro – The campus café, with cuisine provided by Bon Appetit, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with a fresh, healthy choice of selections, including innovative American, international and vegetarian dishes.
- Computer Center – The supervised center is open for student use throughout the day and offers internet connectivity via a T1 line. Wireless access is also available throughout the campus for students with personal computers.
- Library – The campus library offers a collection of over 22,000 books, 150 journals and 80 electronic resources as well as interlibrary loan service. Video and audio materials are also available for loan.
- Athletic Facilities – The campus offers a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts and a soccer field.
- Recreation Room – The recreation room provides a student relaxation area with pool tables and ping pong tables.

Marymount College is located in the city of Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
Rancho Palos Verdes is an exclusive, picture-perfect community that serves as an oasis separated from, but connected to, the hectic pace of modern city life. The community is known for spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and is the home of the newly renovated Donald Trump National Golf Club.
Other major points of interest include the picturesque Point Vicente Lighthouse and the Wayfarer’s Chapel, a striking glass church designed by the son of Frank Lloyd Wright. The city has provided the shooting location for numerous films and TV shows, including many memorable scenes from ‘The O.C.’
Climate
Rancho Palos Verdes enjoys a temperate climate, with relatively stable temperatures throughout the year. Average temperatures in the winter range from 8 to 20 degrees Celsius, and in the summer from 10 to 21 degrees. Due to its ocean-side location, morning fog is frequent. Rainfall averages 14 inches per year.

English language Programs
- Super Intensive English Program
Our new Super Intensive English Program offers the most hours of live instruction per week available at any U.S. language school! For students intent on making the most of their time, this program offers 40 lessons of live instruction per week.
Your teacher will work with you for the entire 40 lessons! Unlike other programs, our Super IEP does not count ‘lab hours’ or other independent study periods as lessons.
Our program places an exceptional emphasis on speaking. Students practice speaking skills frequently in class, receiving regular guidance and correction from their instructor.
- Intensive English Program
Our most popular program, the Intensive English Program includes 30 lessons (25 hours) of instruction per week from qualified, native-speaking teachers.
Your teacher will work with you for the entire 30 lessons! Unlike other programs, our IEP does not count ‘lab hours’ or other independent study periods as lessons.
Our program places an exceptional emphasis on speaking. Students practice speaking skills frequently in class, receiving regular guidance and correction from their instructor.

FLS Marymount College: Student Apartments**
Year-round student’s residence accommodation is provided at Pacific View, a three-story, 30 unit building, housing approximately 100 residents in two-bedroom apartments. This complex has spectacular views of the Los Angeles Harbor. Each resident will share a bedroom with one other person. All apartment units are fully furnished.
Each bedroom contains desks, chairs, dressers, and extra-long twin or twin-sized beds. In each living room there is a lamp, coffee table, and a couch. Each kitchen has a table and four chairs and also comes with a stove and refrigerator. A free shuttle provides regular transportation service to and from the campus and stops at the request of students anywhere along the route. Your stay in the student residence apartments includes 14 meals per week at the campus café.
- Accomodation is at students’ disposal from the Sunday before beginning of course until the Saturday morning following end of course.
- Not included: Airfare and Airport transfers
