Established in 1954, the LSI school in Zurich is located in the popular Seefeld district of town, close to the city centre and just 5 minutes away from the Lake of Zurich. From its foundation over 50 years ago as a family run business, LSI Zurich has always been a place where the young or young at heart could learn languages in a setting free of social, religious or other prejudice.
Since those early days well over 50’000 students have attended courses at our school: some staying briefly for a few weeks only; others settling down here to become fully integrated is Swiss society.
LSI Zurich became the first full member of EAQUALS (Evaluation & Accreditation of Quality in Language Services) in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
Founded in 1991, EAQUALS is a pan-European organization that seeks both to promote and guarantee quality in modern language teaching institutions. Full membership is by inspection only and LSI Zurich passed its initial inspection in May 2000. Our teachers are native German speakers who have completed a university education and/or taken specific training in foreign language tuition.
They are constantly challenged to expand their teaching skills through ongoing dialogue with their head teachers and regular attendance of internal and external workshops.
