Le Bosquet is located in modern premises in the centre of Lausanne with immediate access to public transportation, but in a quiet area, free from noise. It therefore provides ideal working conditions.

Our school is a day school enabling our students to become acquainted with local people within the framework of their boarding houses and leisure activities.
It also provides evening classes to the busy professionals. The school has the advantage of allowing close personal contact between students outside class hours.
Our Premises
- The school comprises 18 class rooms holding up to a maximum of 12 students each
- The Business Classroom holds up to 10 Executives
- The reception area is large enough to accommodate students entering and exiting the school at different hours of the day
- A quiet evaluation or test room is provided for the students
- Each floor has a coffee & tea corner equipped with machine vendors
- Le Bosquet premises are spacious, illuminated and very friendly

Activities and Excursions
- Le Bosquet is happy to organize an excursion for students upon request and budget.
- Le Bosquet works together with professional and trustworthy local travel agencies. These agencies have a wide experience in organizing tours for groups or single trips for individuals.
French courses in Switzerland
- Standard course:
The Standard course is offered for a duration of 2-24 weeks. This course is for Participants who need to get more autonomy in communicating and understanding in current life and in future professional life.
- Intensive course:
The Intensive course is offered for a duration of 2-24 weeks. This course combines the Standard course + 1 Module.
This course is for Participants who need to learn or improve their language skills at the same time discover other opportunities while learning the language.
The participant can choose a preferred Module* (Literature, Culture, Conversation, or Business).
Modules
- Literature
This course provides an introduction to the great periods of classical and modern French literature. Students will discover some of the great authors by reading and analyzing texts and poetry. This study will be complemented by biographies of the authors studied and an introduction to their works.
- Culture
The aim of this course is to provide you with an insight into French and Swiss culture and civilisation. Depending on current cultural affairs and the group’s expectations, topics will be selected from a range of subjects, including traditional celebrations, the art of wine and cheese, fashion, cuisine, the education system, Switzerland and Europe, modern cinema, French song, modern comedies, strip cartoons, etc.
Various documents such as news articles, films, documentaries, the Internet and a selection of cultural activities will enable the student to discover the rich culture of French-speaking countries and to further their French language skills.
- Conversation
This is a themed lesson run and supervised by the teacher. Students choose their preferred subjects from topical themes. The participants’ enthusiasm and commitment are key.
Students develop their ability to express themselves orally by debating, discussing, presenting and conversing. Novice and near-novice students are supplied with the basic vocabulary and structures required for them to hold conversations and take part in role plays on everyday topics.
- Business
This course is aimed at adults or young adults of any nationality who are employed in a professional setting or undertaking vocational training, who wish to achieve greater linguistic independence in terms of verbal and written communication in the French-speaking business context.
It is intended for intermediate and advanced level students and prepares them for the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s diplomas in business French DFP B1 (Diplôme de français professionel) and DFP AFFAIRES B2, certifying competence in French at levels B1 and B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (see link: www.fda.ccip.fr/examens/dfp-b1) .
ACCOMMODATION
Le Bosquet carefully selects its host families. Although public transportation is very easy in Switzerland, Le Bosquet tries to place the students not too far away from the school.
For the families to qualify as members of Le Bosquet host family list, they are prompt to successfully pass Le Bosquet host family criteria test. We do this in respect to all those parents needing to learn that their child is in good hands while at Le Bosquet.
Studios or individual apartments can also be provided by Le Bosquet*.
Upon enrollment, the student should note if he/she would like a studio/apartment or prefer to be placed in a host family, prices available upon request.
