Course Description
Costa Rica is recognized as one of the premier places in the world to go surfing. Made famous by the classic film, “Endless Summer II” Tamarindo and the surrounding area is one of the most popular areas to go surfing in Costa Rica.
Long sandy beaches, reefs, and warm water create an ideal environment for experienced surfers as well as beginner surfers.
Wayra Instituto de Español offers a great Surf and Spanish Program. On Monday through Friday you will participate in the Standard Group Spanish Classes. On your free time and weekends you will have the chance to both take surfing lessons and have the opportunity to surf some of the best areas of Costa Rica.
A typical Surf and Spanish program runs for 2 weeks. During this period you will receive 6 hours of surfing instruction plus the use of a surfboard during the entire two weeks. This program is extremely popular. Wayra and Tamarindo Surf School make use of some of the best surf instructors in the area.

- For 1 week: Lodging with Homestay $570, Casa El Mar $610, Casa La Carolina or Casa Wayra $660
- For 2 weeks: Lodging with Homestay $1,080, Casa El Mar $1,160, Casa La Carolina or Casa Wayra $1,260
- For 3 weeks: Lodging with Homestay $1,690, Casa El Mar $1,810, Casa La Carolina or Casa Wayra $1,960

*Please note that the above rates for the Spanish and Surf program are based on 20 hours Spanish group lessons per week. All prices include registration fee, tuition, placement test, class material and board rental.
