La Casa del Español, Spain

La Casa del Español is an accredited center of the Instituto Cervantes receiving students since 1986; many of them returning to us (as groups or on an individualbasis) due to the positive effect our courses have on their final examination results.

La Casa del Español is a Language and Culture Centre with one main objective: to offer our students quality Spanish teaching.

However, we understand that this language education must be coupled with a true cultural contact with Valladolid, the city where the Center is located. In order to favour this, we offer access to all that which makes Valladolid unique: first of all its people, open and hospitable; its important historic and literary heritage; its gastronomy and wines, nightlife and its dynamic cultural life.

In addition, Valladolid is medium size city that allows to go walking to a lot of places and has a very good network of urban buses. La Casa del Español, has other three centers apart from the main headquarters, where classes can be given when big groups of students come.

*The price of accommodation includes sheets, blankets and towels. It also includes electricity, gas, water, heating, community charge and laundry service (minimum once a week) and full board.

Our main objective is that the students acquire a correct use of the Spanish in real life situations by developing receptive abilities (listening and reading) and productive abilities (speaking and writing), adding important aspects of the Spanish culture as the understanding, study and dominion of the language.

Valladolid enjoys a privileged geographic location and some magnificent communications that facilitate the access quickly and comfort. The International Airport of Valladolid (Villanubla) and the connection from high-speed train (AVE) to Madrid takes you to the Spanish capital in 45 minutes, besides being very well communicated with an excellent road network, that facilitates to our students the trips or excursions to many points of our geography.

When booking a course, the student will pay a non-refundable registration fee of 50€ per student. This fee includes registration paperwork, registration for DELE exams (if requested, but excluding exam fees), didactic materials, access to the library, video library and to the Internet and end-of-course Certificate.

Classes will be taught by Spanish native speaking teachers, degree holders with experience.

Lessons are considered to be 50 minutes long, and will take place from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00.

Cultural activities and excursions can be done in the afternoons and weekends with a small extra charge: Cooking Workshop, Wine Tasting (only for adults), Ride on the boat, Guided visits, Sport activities, Excursions to nearby cities, and much more.
