Description of don Quijote Spanish school in Malaga

Open year round, our Spanish school in Malaga is located in a beautiful Andalusian building dating from the 1950’s. You’ll study in pleasantly large and airy classrooms surrounded by a garden filled with yucca palms, lemon trees, date palms and rubber trees, all of which contribute to a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.

During the hot Andalusian summer, the garden provides students with much-appreciated shade as well as a swimming pool that calls for a refreshing splash. Grocery shops, banks, a pharmacy, restaurants and bars are within 100 yards of the school and 2 minutes is all you need to get to the beach! What a better way to learn Spanish in Malaga!

Teachers and the teaching method

The most important condition we require of our partnerships is that the selection of teachers and the teaching method is faithfully close to that of don Quijote. Plus, with the minimum age being 18 years, you also have, just as with don Quijote, a maximum of 7 other students in a group.

The Program

Thanks to 24 years of experience teaching Spanish to non-native speakers, Don Quijote is now the leading institution in its field.

All our schools have national and international quality seals and recognition, ensuring the very best in teaching excellence.

With this program, you will succeed in gaining a command of the second most important language in the world, which will help in gaining greater success in the various official Spanish examinations as well as improving your professional prospects.

By focusing on your needs and maintaining small group sizes with students of an identical level, you are guaranteed to improve your Spanish at the fastest rate possible.

  • Method

At our schools we use an interactive method of teaching which is based on learning by practice and thus means that grammar is covered, but taught as much as possible using practical situations.

All classes are conducted in Spanish, so no matter what level you are, you’ll be fully immersed straight away.

The emphasis is primarily on conversation but we also focus on to reading, listening, and writing.

  • Study Materials

You will receive all the learning materials needed, (there may be a small charge for learning materials in the partner schools and in some Latin American schools).

  • Cultural lessons

In addition to your language classes, in all schools in Spain* you will be offered an extra cultural class or activity every day, teaching more about cinema, workshops, food, history, Flamenco and more, depending on where you are studying.

This will give you the chance to meet other people from the school, discover even more about Spanish culture and practice your Spanish in a different social environment

Intensity of the courses

Depending on your goals, you can choose as many hours of classes as you wish every day. Our most popular course is of 4 hours a day which allows you to communicate with confidence and ease, and gives you free time in the day to explore or study.

With a higher number of contact hours every day, (a total of 25 or 30 classes per week), you will have further opportunities to practise your skills from the first class and improve your Spanish further.

These additional classes tend to have a more conversational focus, allowing you to achieve your ultimate goal more quickly.

Comfortable accommodation is an essential part of your study trip. If you want an authentic cultural experience, coupled with the added security of living with a family, then Home Stay could be the perfect option for you!

We understand how important it is that you choose the accommodation that best suits your needs.

Staying with a host family undoubtedly allows you to get the maximum out of your course as it allows you both the chance to directly experience local life, as well as developing your language skills with native speakers in a unique way.

You will be given your own keys, so you can come and go as you please with complete independence.

Shared Student Flat

If having a little more freedom and sharing your own place with other Don Quijote students from all over the world sounds fun, then a shared student flat may be the perfect option for you!

Living in a shared student flat is our most affordable accommodation option offered in Our shared student flats offer you three room options: an individual room, a shared double room* (sharing with a person of the same sex), or a double room for individual use. In our shared student flats you will be living with 5-6 other international students and you will have shared facilities like a fully equipped kitchen, living room and bathroom.

All of our flats have a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a television.

All of our destinations, except Cadiz and Malaga, include bed linen, though you must provide your own towels.
