Cape Town is the unofficial capital of South Africa and with its good climate, breathtaking scenery, vibrant nightlife, diverse range of attractions and adventure sports it is not surprising that it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

IH Cape Town is ideally located in the heart of Sea Point amidst all the shops, restaurants, bars and cafés, and adjacent to the famous Sea Point promenade. Students enjoy close proximity to the city center and with Table Mountain and the famous beaches of Clifton and Camps bay only 5 minutes away, it is the ideal location for students to enjoy all the major attractions.

Facilities

The school facilities include 12 air conditioned classrooms, a business and self-study centre, relaxing lounge, free wireless internet connection and a large sea-view deck and outside entertainment area. In addition to the active school social programme there is a travel desk where local trips and tours can be booked in addition to researching local volunteering opportunities. As part of a student’s self-study programme, free online English courses are available to all students through Net Languages in addition to the use of the extensive resources in the library.

Social Activities

IH Cape Town offers a very active social programme which is ideally suited to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment for students to interact and practice their English. A dedicated social coordinator is available to assist students with all of their enquiries, while a travel desk provides students with the opportunity to take advantage of all the exciting trips and tours in and around Cape Town.

IH Cape Town offers a wide range of English, Exam preparation, English for Specific Purposes [ESP], Over 50’s and Teacher Training courses in addition to extensive Volunteering opportunities. Assistance is also provided to students who upon completion of their English courses wish to continue their studies at University or other higher Education institutions here in South Africa.

All courses are designed around either 20 English lessons per week [4 per day] or 30 English lessons per week [6 per day].
