Worldwide School of English offers a great English language study experience in Auckland, New Zealand.
We offer General English classes at 7 levels, Academic English preparation classes, FCE and CAE, Business English (BEC) classes, TESOL + TKT, plus many other courses and programmes.
Location
All New Zealanders speak English, but our country has a wide variety of ethnic groups, mostly of European, Pacific Island and Asian origin. There is a great variety of cultural experience for the visitor to enjoy.
New Zealand’s cities have modern, thriving commercial and entertainment centres, interesting and reasonably priced shopping and wonderful restaurants and nightlife. Auckland City combines all the advantages of a big city with easy access to nearby beaches, islands, forests and farmland. We are in mid city, near the harbour, shops, boats, bus station, train station, restaurants and theatres.
We are also famous for our spectacular scenery, easy to get to but definitely uncrowded. The climate is temperate, never too hot and never too cold.

School Facilities
Library and Self-Access Centre
The school library is open before school 8.00 – 8.50am, 10.50 – 11.10am (except Friday Graduation time), 12.15 – 1.30pm and 3.30 – 4.50pm every day.
The library has over 600 ESL readers at 6 different levels, self-study materials for TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, BEC, TKT, FCE, CAE and CPE exams, grammar and listening worksheets with over 200 tapes and 18 listening posts as well as MP3 players with headphones, DVD worksheets with TV monitors and almost 400 DVD’s, 4 computers with English language software and CD-Roms as well as 3 EFL subscription magazines, other magazines, newspapers and many reference books.
Students can take books home for up to two weeks and videos/DVD’s overnight, or for the weekend.

Internet Room
- Worldwide School has a large Internet Room with computers as well as free WiFi access. The Internet Room is open before school 8.00 – 8.50am, 10.50 – 11.10am (except Friday Graduation time), 12.15 – 1.30pm and 3.30 – 4.50pm every day.
- The computers and internet are FREE for all students to use. All terminals have a high-speed cable connection and have foreign alphabet software so students can write to friends and families in their own language.
- These computers also have ESL software programmes for self or class study. In addition the 4th floor is a wireless area so students can use their personal computers anywhere.
Student Room
Our large student room with outdoor deck is available for students to use, before class, during breaks and after school. It is also the venue for Friday graduations.
The student room has a kitchen with microwaves where students can heat their lunch. It also has free tea and coffee, snack and drinks vending machines and free wireless access.
There are chairs and dining tables and a telephone for students to use, which is free for local calls. In addition, we have another small kitchen on the 3rd floor of the school building where students can get free tea or coffee.
Recreation Area
We have a table tennis/ping-pong area for students to play and relax during break times.
Movie Theatre
Our movie theatre seats up to 2 classes and shows videos and DVDs through a wide screen projection system with surround sound speakers.
Prayer Room
For students who need a quiet place to pray we provide a prayer room. It is for students of all nationalities and all religions.

General English Course emphasizes reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and a lot of communication practice:
- 15 hours per week (50 minute lessons)

Intensive English Course focuses on improving listening skills and spoken fluency:

Worldwide School of English has two main kinds of accommodation – homestay with a New Zealand family or apartments.
Homestay*
At Worldwide School of English we provide kind and helpful New Zealand families to live with. Your homestay family will welcome you after your arrival, bring you to school on your first day and help you discover Auckland.
All of our homestays are inspected by our homestay co-ordinator. They also interview each family. All of our families live close to a bus stop and other conveniences. No student is ever placed in a homestay where another person speaks your native language.

We co-operate with several apartment providers and so we can also help to book one of these. Depending on your requests and availability we will find the best apartment option for you.
