Magister Academy

A very Modern building   built in 2006 in the centre of St. Julian, in one of Malta‘s most modern residential areas.   It is just one minute walk from the nerve centre of the city.  It is five minutes’ walk from the nearest sandy beach.  It is fully air conditioned has 30 classes, a very large all-purpose hall, a modern cafeteria  internet centre, library and a theatre.  All classes have internet and the whole school in WIFI Zone.

The academy is one minute walk from the nearest bus stop and the promenade. It is close to all the main services, supermarket, restaurants, bus terminus, cinemas and other tourist services. 

The school Is situated in a very quiet residential area called “The Gardens”.  The environment is perfect for living English eight in the hub of up market tourism.  

Leisure Time

The academy has a large open-air roof terrace, ideal for student’s social free time activities. The Academy organizes daily leisure time activities.

These include:

• Film evenings followed by discussions.
• Half day guided excursions to historic and panoramic spots in Malta and Gozo.
• Day trips including harbor cruises and boat trips around the Maltese Islands.
• Team sport competitions, such as football, basketball, volleyball, handball etc.

English Classes in Malta – Group Courses

General English Course Ref ‘G’

Ideal for improving speaking and listening skills. These courses develop self confidence when communicating verbally. Apart from fluency, students improve their language proficiency in writing, listening and reading in English. They will develop grammar and vocabulary according to their professional, academic and social needs. Closed groups will have tailor made programs

• Class Size: Average 8, Maximum 12 students
• 15 hours per week

Intensive Ref ‘INT’

Ideal for students who need to develop their language skills in a relatively short period of time. They can consolidate their strengths and improve their weaknesses by an additional 2 sessions of 45 mins daily. Participants can focus on their area of particular interest during the extra sessions.

• 20 hours per week
• Class Size: Minimum 8 students, maximum 8 students

The academy also organizes family courses where parents and children study at the same time indifferent parts of the school, yet they can participate together in  the school leisure time activities.

There are short courses and long term courses. The age groups are 8 to 12 for children, 13 to 18 for teenagers and 18 plus for adults.

The academy also organizes a special summer school with courses for groups who wish to enjoy a balanced program of studies and activities outside the school hours. 

The school provides airport to airport services. This means that from the moment students arrive in Malta until they leave they have everything catered for by the academy, including airport assistance and return transfers.

Magister Academy provides accommodation for course participants and their families in, the school residence, in self-catering apartments, hotels or home stays.

Location

The school’s residence is a 10 minutes walk from the school, and 5 minutes away from the beach.

Rooms

Double, triple and quads. Most bedrooms are en suite. Bed linen and bath towels are provided and changed weekly. Rooms cleaned weekly.

All bookings are made on bed basis. Lunch and dinner arrangements made on request. There are two large kitchens and breakfast areas, laundry facilities, cable TV and internet.

We also provide homestays*. The students are guaranteed accommodation with fully licensed host families who all live in the vicinity of the school. No one will need to use any transport to and from school.
