Citizens of more than 60 countries including all the EU citizens do not require a visa to come to the course. Almost half of Latvia’s population is native Russian speakers and most of the population speak Russian fluently and the Russian language is important in everyday communication, thus ensuring a good language practice for foreign students.

With the population of nearly 800,000 people Riga is one of the largest cities in the northern Europe ,although few would ever guess by looking at a map. The quaint beauty of the Old Town, the splendor of the City Centre architecture, the winding stretches of parkland and the nearby beach resort Jurmala are sure to charm everyone. Visitors receive intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

The SCHOOL
The Education Centre DURBE (DURBE) has more than 15 years experience in international language tourism. The EC DURBE is the only private language school recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia. To be a member of such international organizations as FIYTO and ALTO allows us to be up- to -date with the latest field trends and guaranties the highest possible quality for money you pay for your course.

School is situated in the capital of Latvia – Riga. School has an excellent central location at the very heart of the Riga. Old Town is only 2 minutes away, Central station with a good shopping center and a lots of restaurants – just across the street, Opera House is opposite to school and life full famous Central Market also only 2 minutes away.

School is situated at the 3rd floor at historic building, it has 10 classes, elegantly decorated by photos, all classes have windows. We have, tea/coffe facilities, student cosy lounge, big Internet room for students, WiFi.

ACCOMMODATION IN LATVIA
We know that accommodation in the country of your stay is very important – it affects your ability to study and improve the Russian language, explore the city and get new impressions and experience.

Russian Host family accommodation (standard, premium and executive types)– to get the most of your stay, get excellent additional Russian language practise and find out more about local people’s traditions.

RESIDENCE
For our students use we can offer our own cosy students residence with 2 bedrooms (single or double/twin) and shared kitchen facilities.
- A kitchen has microwave, refrigerator and everyday kitchen and tableware.
- The residence is conveniently located in the city center, in the same building as the school, on the 3rd floor. The building offers a cosy inner garden for outdoor activities.
- Each room has its own WC and a shower. WiFi is provided.
- Cleaning and change of linen is done once a week;
- Arrival on Sunday from 14:00, departure on Saturday till 12:00 PM; Security Deposit upon arrival – 50 EUR;
- Minimum age: 18.

Summer camp. Welcome to our friendly country – Latvia to spend a wonderful summer. Learn Russian or English, enjoy a healthy piny air of the popular seaside resort Jurmala /www.jurmala.lv/, relax and have a lot of fun during your staying here. Our super intensive activity and excursion program will ensure the best language practice and a lot of positive impressions – not many camps will keep you so busy.

Jurmala.
Our Junior camp takes place in a famous seaside resort city Jurmala, 30 minutes away from Riga – a very popular place among tourists, especially from Russia. The green ornament of trees, wide dunes covered with pine trees, white 33 km long sandy beach, sea air and favourable climatic conditions are exceptionally appropriate to refresh juniors after the city noises.

All lessons are held according to a special language program designed to teach from the beginner’s level and it will ensure rapid progress of our young learners with different language backgrounds. And we are especially proud that for junior summer camp our staff has created specially designed teaching materials and syllabus to make this exclusive program running according to the highest quality demands in language teaching.
