Our Italian courses and programs take place at “Casa Silva” a beautiful historical Villa only 200 meters away from the Greek Theatre. Our school garden is part of an archeological area!

Babilonia Language School
The Center for Italian language and culture “BABILONIA” in Taormina, Sicily is the oldest Italian language center south of Rome, founded in 1992. Our Italian courses and programs take place at “Casa Silva” a beautiful historical Villa only 200 meters away from the Greek Theatre. Our school garden is part of an archeological area!
In our beautiful garden, among citrus trees, palms, and jasmine plants our Center organizes cultural events such as book presentation with authors, painting and photo exhibitions, jazz concerts open both to our International students and the local community. On top of that, the school offers a weekly program of social and cultural events for our students only.
Our full immersion Italian language courses can be in groups or individual, more or less intensive in terms of lesson hours per day. We also offer a full range of “Italian plus” programs: cooking, food & wine, ceramic decoration, diving, hiking, golf as well as culture courses as literature, art history, cinema and history.
The school also offers a service of cafeteria and restaurant as well as wifi connection and PCs availability.
Accreditation
Our courses are recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the University “Ca Foscari”.
Our school is also member of ASILS- Association of Schools of Italian as Second Language. Moreover, BABILONIA hosts several U.S. university and college programs and our courses are accredited by Auburn University for academic credit for U.S. university students.
