ABOUT PLANETE-LANGUES

Planete-Langues has taken over the ‘l’Institut International de Rambouillet’ since the 1st of January 2009.The entire team of French teachers and administration present up until then carry on their activities under the direction of Valerie Rodrigues , director of the ‘Institut International de Rambouillet’ for the past 12 years.

The goal of PLANETE-LANGUES is to fulfill a number of services.

l’Institut International de Rambouillet , open since 1950 , offers a large palette of services including all of the following :

• Business French courses
• French courses for individuals, from young learners to more mature students , along with French courses for college and Lycee students
• French classes for foreign students wishing to learn or perfect their knowledge of the French language in France
• French classes for seniors, from all countries , desiring to couple the discovery of the French language with the discovery of France and its culture

Prices / Courses and Accommodation

• General French Language Course, 20 / 30 lessons per week (60 minutes per lesson), 12 student max. per group

Prices includes course and accommodation as indicated, all registration and accommodation fees, level assessment upon arrival, course materials and certificate upon completion of course.

Located in ‘old mill’s’ park, in the center of Rambouillet, the School’s campus is in a 5 acre park, made up of 5 adjoined buildings whose facilities include:

• 15 classrooms
• 1 computer room connected to the internet,
• 1 cafeteria space equipped with a bar and hot and cold drinks and snacks machines,
• A piano lounge, a fully equipped video room
• A library and a video room
• A fitness room
• A kitchen for the evenings when feeling a little hungry
• A laundry room
• Wifi access throughout the entire campus, even in bedrooms, you can use your laptop
• A ping pong room
• A disco area
• Sports fields (tennis,volley ball, football…)

The school has it’s own in-house chef and all price include full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

All mostly accessible 24/7 and situated in the city center, close to all of the amenities, 10 minutes walk from train station, 30 minutes from Paris or Chartres by train…very few sites have such advantages!!!

THE LANGUAGE LABORATORY

Our ‘language laboratory’ consists of 20 digital ‘listening’ rooms and it is open 7 days a week!

We principally use the lab for 3 purposes:

• As a complimentary service to your course, with autonomous work
• As part of your course to enforce and improve pronunciation and oral comprehension (with teachers corrections)
• To allow certain students or course pupils to keep in touch with the language of their choice

The lab work is focused on the needs of each student which may be:

• Pronunciation and intonation work in the French language
• Comprehension activities linked to the everyday situations faced in life
• Specific professional situations; answering telephone calls , participating in meetings , specialized speech
• Exam preparations: TOEIC, TOEFL, TCF…
• Many others …

Our foreign students take advantage of this after classes and equally during the weekend , our business clients use this complimentary to their hours of face to face classes as laid out in their course structure (DIF/PLAN) , our private students; adults or kids often come for a little extra and in reinforcement of their regular lessons.

We work 7 days a week to answer to your demands and be able if possible to anticipate them, our goal is to fulfill all of you needs regarding your learning of the French Language.

ACCREDITATION

• L’Institut international de Rambouillet has been awarded the label “French as a Foreign Language Quality” (“Label Qualité Français Langue Etrangère”) for the quality of its teaching methods and services (facilities, accommodation, administration and management).
• This quality seal of approval is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and of the Ministry of Culture and the General Delegation for the French Language.
• This label guarantees our students, quality tuition, approved teaching methods, a warm welcome and top notch service.

ACTIVITIES

Some of the excursions which we offer are free while others requires a small fee (between 2 and 30€). We also offer workshops or discovery programs, where you can try different types of wine, cheese, chocolate, escargots, and many other things.

OUR FRENCH COURSES

INTENSIVE COURSE

Thousands of people like you have already taken our classes. The classes are based on grammar, communication, and role playing games in French. We offer real cultural exchanges in real life situations.

Those who have chosen the International Institute of Rambouillet have found that they have improved far beyond their expectations.

Some course features:

• The classes take place in the morning from 9 am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm.
• The group sizes are small and there is room for everyone…you always get a chance to speak
• In the afternoon classes you can choose between lessons and workshops. We can organize private lessons if you need to prepare for a specific field (commercial, university entrance exam…)

ACCOMMODATION

THE RESIDENCE ** ON THE CAMPUS:

We favor on the spot accommodation or in close proximity of the school: it’s the best way to integrate yourself in a friendly community and to follow up of your learning after classes.

Student accommodation at the school: you can wake up every morning in a wonderful park. Some features of our student residence:

• 70 rooms available, double room included (add € 40 for a private room)
• Shower and toilets are on each floor (one shower for 4 students max), each room is equipped with a washbasin and all necessary furniture (desk, chairs, cupboards…)
• Bed linen (sheets, blankets) are provided by the Institute; the sheets are changed every week
• Students must bring their own bath towels and personal toiletries
• The rooms are cleaned on a weekly basis
• The showers and toilets are cleaned on a daily basis by our cleaning team
• Each of the 3 residences at the schol accommodates a maximum of 20-25 students
• In a double bedroom, you share the room with another student, about the same age, but whose mother tongue is different than yours (unless you’d rather be with a friend) it’s another occasion to speak French together.
• Full board included (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Some of our homestay accommodation features include:

• Single rooms only
• Breakfast and dinner included
• Possibility to have the meals on campus (10€ for a complete meal)
• Walking distance from the campus, between 10 and 35 minutes or close to public transportation
• Bed linen (sheets, blankets) provided by the family
• Students must bring their own bath towels and personal toiletries
• Full board included (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Accommodation is at students’ disposal from the Sunday before beginning of course until the Saturday morning following end of course.
