International House Nice is situated on the 1st floor of IPAG, one of France’s most prestigious business schools. The 7 classrooms (15 if needed) are spacious and air-conditioned, and students have access to all the resources of a modern school. Outside of the classroom, students can visit the cafeteria and relax or study on the terrace. The school has computers with internet access at the students’ disposal and WIFI is also freely available so that they can connect to the internet using their own laptop.

French Courses at International House Nice, France

General French Course:

This course is very popular at the school as it offers the possibility to learn to speak French in beneficial conditions in small groups of 10 students maximum (often less). It focuses on structured oral activities, on aural comprehension, and on practical grammar, all of which students will be able to apply immediately to everyday life. Also, according to their level, a small amount of comprehension, written production and cross-cultural exercises is incorporated.

• 20 lessons per week
• Length of lessons: 45 minutes
• Minimum age for course: 17 years old
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:15pm (or in the afternoon from 1:15pm to 4:30pm if necessary)
• Start any Monday, except for complete beginners (every second Monday)

Intensive French Course:

This course meets the needs of those students wishing to get the best out of their stay here in Nice. In the mornings they will be with the students on the general course and then they will have three afternoons of extra lessons in relatively small groups that build on the content of the morning classes. The course encourages oral communication and aims to strengthen grammatical structures corresponding to the need of the students.

Accommodation

International House Nice has different types of host families. Students will encounter a warm family atmosphere where only French is spoken. Most of the families live within a reasonable distance of the school; the maximum distance from the school to the host family is 20 minutes by bus or tram. Students will have their own keys to come and go as they please, but will be expected to respect some basic rules and schedules, especially for mealtimes.

Residence Sun Valley is situated on rue de France, 3 minutes walk from the promenade and the beach. The airport shuttle bus stops on the promenade des Anglais, just a short walk from the residence. Bus stops directly in front of the residence.

• Table and chairs
