French Language School in Amboise

Right in the centre of Amboise, only 5 minutes away from the shopping zone with its small shops, street cafés and bistros, you will find the Eurocentres school. The calm environment with its cultural richness is ideal for intensive study of the language. The school offers seven classrooms, a learning centre with video and audio-equipment, a computer room and a library, and on the ground floor a student lounge with a dining and reading area and a piano.

Amboise is situated in the Touraine, a region well-known for its pure French and classed in 2000 as an UNESCO world heritage site. Leisure at Eurocentres Amboise

Students are encouraged to enjoy to the full the innumerable sights, events and activities which Amboise offers its visitors. The school provides information on this, as well as places of interest. The aim is to encourage students to make discoveries, to immerse themselves in the environment and the culture. The school organizes regular social activities, which help students to mix and make lasting friendships.

Courses

General French Language Course

Deepen your knowledge of the language and develop your confidence. This programme will enable you to further practice your language skills, especially speaking and writing. There will also be an opportunity to work on grammar points and pronunciation issues you have difficulty with.

Basic 20 Follow our morning course, focusing on improving general language proficiency (grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking) and explore the city in the afternoon.

Intensive French Language Course

Intensive 25 20 morning lessons (described in Basic 20) and 5 specialized afternoon lessons, during which you will focus on a specific topic.

Residence: In a student residence, the emphasis is on contact between students from all over the world and you’ll soon be making friends and spending time together.

Homestay*

There is a variety of types of household in our accommodation programme – from families with children, to single person households, to retired couples. All of our homestay providers have been carefully chosen and are regularly inspected. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable and all students will be provided with a place for quiet study.
