BEET is a family-run independent school, founded in 1979. We have an average population of 180 students, with normally between 20 and 40 different nationalities at any one time. Our medium size allows us to provide a properly structured learning program and also guarantees the individual attention that everyone needs.
BEET is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality in everything we do, including teaching, accommodation, administration and our very comprehensive social program. With over 30 years of experience, BEET offers some of the best English language courses available and the ideal environment in which to study English.
Bournemouth is situated in the middle of England’s sunny south coast, famous for it’s 10km of beautiful, award winning, sandy beaches. It is an ideal location, just under 2 hours away from London. BEET itself is located in a residential area only minutes away from Bournemouth’s town center.

School Facilities
The main school building was originally a 19th century school and has great charm and character. Now modernized, the school is equipped with 16 classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards, library and bookshop, 2 self-access centers with a total of 34 computers on ADSL broadband, free wireless, video facilities, university counseling, canteen and car park.
BEET’s social programme of evening activities includes: two lectures a week on British culture (i.e., History and Institutions, Literature, Poetry, Pop and Folk Songs, Social Life or Sport and Politics), one movie night, and one evening a week of various events(i.e., quizzes, music, social evenings or Salsa dancing amongst others)!

BEET is accredited by the British Council and are also a member of English UK, Quality English and IALC. We are the only Bournemouth school in membership of TEN (The English Network).

BEET offers Main, Intensive and Extra Intensive General English courses (20, 24 or 28 lessons per week). Full Options Programme comprising the following: Speaking & Pronunciation Practice, Reading, Writing & Listening Skills, Cambridge FCE, CAE, CPE & PET preparation, IELTS & Pre-Masters preparation, English for Travel & Tourism, English for Business and English for Media & Culture. We also specialise in full-time Cambridge & IELTS preparation courses and offer International Academic Year (IAY) courses.

Accommodation
Accommodation at BEET is available in Homestay, Executive Homestay, Shared Room or Student House.
Homestay: Your homestay will treat you as a full member of the household, eating together and sharing the common living areas.
*For homestay option, price includes:

Executive Homestay is available at a higher cost in an executive quality home and comes with private bathroom.
Student House Self-Catering Residence: BEET also owns a number of typical family houses, which have been converted for student use. During the summer, we rent additional houses or apartments.
**For Student House Self-Catering Residence, price includes:

- Washing Machine
There are normally five or six students living in one house. Most houses also have a garden, usually with a barbecue. The shared facilities are cleaned regularly, but you are responsible for your own room. Most houses are within easy walking distance of the school.
