WAYRA offers since 1996 a full Spanish immersion program. Recognized as a DELE examination center and associated with the Instituto Cervantes, we are the perfect choice for students that want to learn Spanish in a serious environment but at the same time would like to enjoy the beaches and the many outdoor activities such as surfing, snorkeling, canopy, kayaking, fishing etc.
The school is located at the beautiful Tamarindo Beach, on the west coast of Costa Rica, and is just 1 ½ blocks away from the beach.

The Spanish Course at WAYRA Consists of:
- General Spanish Course in Costa Rica: 20 lessons of 60 minutes per week

Intensive Spanish Course in Costa Rica: 30 lessons of 60 minutes per week
- Surf & Spanish Program: 20 lessons of 60 minutes + 3 surfing lessons (6 hours) per week
- Groups are small, averaging 3 to 4 students (Maximum 6 students per class)

School Facilities
Spanish classes are held in beautiful classrooms with a lot of space and a perfect view to our amazing tropical garden where animals like Iguanas and Monkeys can be seen often. On the premises the students can find three buildings with a total of 10 classrooms. In addition, we have a cafeteria, Internet café with WiFi on the whole campus and also a TV room.
Accreditations
WAYRA is one of the few and unique Spanish schools that is recognized by the Cervantes Institute as an official DELE Examination Center and as an associated center to the Cervantes Institute network to teach Spanish as a second language.

We offer general and intensive courses, as well as a Spanish & Surf program and DELE preparation courses.
General Spanish Course:
- 20 hours per week (60-minute lessons)
- Monday to Friday, Mornings (8am-12pm) or Afternoons (1pm-5pm)

Accommodation
WAYRA has different lodging options such as 3 student houses in Tamarindo that are all in walking distance to the school and the beach. In addition our students have the possibility to experience the real Costa Rican life staying with one of our carefully selected host families in the nearby towns of Villareal and Santa Rosa.
