Course Description:
The Cambridge exams are known all over the world. They have an excellent reputation and are recognized by universities, employers and national education authorities as tangible evidence of a qualification in linguistic competence.
Our Cambridge exam classes are highly-focused and challenging programmes. The courses provide a comprehensive study of all the skills required to pass the examinations. During the course, students will improve their speaking and listening, grammar, vocabulary and writing.
Examination practice is an integral part of the program, and helps ISIS students gain excellent results in the final exams. Extensive self-access materials are also available for each examination, and teachers advise students individually on their personalized self-access program.
Among the specialist teaching staff are a number of Cambridge examiners, who teach on the programmes and give individual feedback and advice to students throughout their course. Our aim at ISIS is to help each student make maximum progress and achieve the best possible examination results.
First Certificate in English (FCE)
The First Certificate in English (FCE) is an Upper-Intermediate level exam. It is ideal for students who need to be able to communicate confidently in English in most situations. FCE is one of the most widely recognised English language qualifications by employers and educational institutions around the world.
The FCE exam comprises 5 parts:
- Paper 1 – Reading
- Paper 2 – Writing
- Paper 3 – Use of English (Grammar)
- Paper 4 – Listening
- Paper 5 – Speaking
The First Certificate in English programme is designed to provide comprehensive, practical experience in the range of skills necessary to successfully complete the Cambridge FCE examination. The course is structured around a weekly skills focus which gives intensive practice in the requisite competencies for each of the five FCE exam modules. In conjunction with Integrated Core Skills from the five modules the course builds incrementally to equip students for every aspect of the FCE examination requirements.
The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is an advanced level exam and it is one of the most popular of all the Cambridge tests. It tests the ability to deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications. A positive result on this exam is recognised by both employers and higher education institutes and is an invaluable addition to your English language qualifications.
Many students sitting for the CAE have already successfully passed the FCE. Like the FCE, the CAE exam preparation also provides intensive instruction in the skill areas of the exam.

- Continuous enrollment every Monday
- General Course: 20 hours per week (9:30am-11:00am, 11:30am-1:00pm, 1:10pm-2:10pm)
- Intensive Course: 30 hours per week (9:30am-11:00am, 11:30am-1:00pm, 2:15pm-3:45pm, 4:00pm-5:30pm)
- Academic Hour = 60 minutes
- FCE: Minimum level – Intermediate/IELTS 4.0
- CAE: Minimum level – Upper Intermediate/IELTS 5.0
